Chris Eshun, 4th Grade Homeroom, 5th Grade Social Studies and Religion Teacher
My name is Chris Eshun.
I have been the fourth grade teacher at St. James School since 1985. I taught 6 years in the Milwaukee Diocese before moving to Madison in 1985. While teaching in the Milwaukee Diocese I also was the Religious Education coordinator for my home parish and the school parish I taught at. It kept me very busy.
I received by BS in Education at University of Oshkosh in Elementaary and Special Education and after coming to Madison I went on to get my Masters in Education at Edgewood while working with several Student Teachers from Edgewood College, UW Madison, and Beloit College.
St. James School is a great place to grow and learn. I enjoy the students, families, and being a part of Good Shepherd Parish. The community and staff feels like a home to me, where people genuinely care for each other. The values of the Sinsinawa Dominicans have made a great impact in my life.
Over the past 40 years, my interests have changed from being mom to six children to now being grandma to 4. I loved gardening, cooking, and going to sport activities with my children which I still enjoy but downsized dramatically and now taken to reading and planning travel excursions.
