Lauren McCall, Junior High Math & Language Arts Teacher
I have had the pleasure of teaching middle school math at St. James since 2010, and middle school language arts since 2012. After graduating from Cornell University with a B.S. in Hotel & Restaurant Administration, I joined Teach for America while earning my M. A. in Education. As a corps member, I taught middle school math and science in the San Francisco Bay Area.
When we moved here in 2010, I was fortunate to join the staff at St. James School. The community has been phenomenally welcoming! The small class sizes and intimate campus appeal enormously; looping with my students through their three years of math and language arts provides a unique opportunity to see long-term growth.
Although my previous experiences working in culinary arts were enlightening, the classroom remains my favorite place to be!
